But as you can see the weather was terrible, not to mention NO ONE was there! It was like a ghost town so we decided instead of spending the money to stay in a fancy hotel with no one around we would drive over to Katie and Scott's lake house about 50 miles away. Unfortunately the weather was terrible there too- 60 degrees and cold, windy and rainy :( however we did manage to have a lot fun... check it out

We went out for dinners and had BIG desserts...
We sat on the dock, Loren went swimming but it was way to cold for us!
Scott blew up some illegal fireworks an we sat by the fire pit
Scott and Loren decided they could not go up to the lake and not take the jet ski's out so they suited up and hit the water...dorks!!!
The bad weather did not get these two down, they were like little kids out there having so much fun!
Ahhhh can't wait until Jay can go with dad!
Sunday the weather finally began to improve so we went for a long walk. We picked some fresh corn to feed the horses and enjoyed the much needed sunshine
Although the weather was not great we made the best of it and enjoyed getting away spending time as a little family :)
